Phase 1 of the BA program gives you the resources you need to prepare for business through research and planning.

Phase 1 provides:

Eight online training modules:

Self and Business Assessment Stage

  • Module 1: Exploring Self-employment

Developing Your Business Idea Stage

  • Module 2: Researching Your Business Idea
  • Module 3: Developing Your Strategies
  • Module 4: Legal Issues
  • Module 5: Home-based Business
  • Module 6: Sales and Service
  • Module 7: Financial Planning

Writing Your Business Plan Stage:

  • Module 8: Business Plan

Each module has an:

  • Introduction
  • Learning Objectives
  • Reading Material
  • Glossary of Terms
  • Self Quizzes
  • Resource Links
  • Instructional Videos
  • Worksheets (that will become the foundation for your business plan)

After completing your business plan you will send it BY EMAIL to your business coach. The BA Mentor Team will then review your business plan and provide you with valuable suggestions and feedback.

After successfully completing Phase 1 you will gain access to Phase 2 of the program.

Support from your business coach

Business Coaching: You have the opportunity to gain resources from one-on-one discussions with our business coaches. They are available to field questions or discuss your ideas as you work through the modules and develop your business plan! You can reach your business coach through:
Skype, telephone, GoToTraining sessions, email, and fax

LIVE (online) presentations and networking sessions

Online sessions are provided using GoToTraining web conferencing technology.

You will attend sessions such as:

  • Preparing Your Cashflow
  • Putting Your Business Plan Together
  • Networking online
  • Time Management
